Warren Thomas Sandy was born January 16, 1920 to Pink Willim & Margaret Hannah [Williams] Sandy in Gretna, Sarpy County, Nebraska.

He departed this world October 20, 2012 in Wray, Yuma, Colorado at the age of 92. He was buried on October 25 in Wray, Colorado, Grandview Cemetery.

He attended schools in Gretna, graduating in 1938.

In 1942 until 1945 he was in the Army Air Corps.

While in Dayton, Ohio he met and fell in love with Virginia Lee Mehle, and they married December 6, 1945.

They lived and worked on his dad's ranch in South Dakota from 1945 until 1947. In 1947 until 1950 they lived in Ames, Iowa where Warren worked for Virginia's uncle at a garage.

In 1950, they moved to Laird where he worked on a ranch until 1975. In 1975, he went to work in Idalia for Gene Devlin and worked for him until 1980. From 1980 until 1985 he worked for the Yuma County Road and Bridge Department. In 1986 until 1988, he worked for Duard Fix. Finally, after trying to retire for three times, he retired in 1988.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Virginia, his sister Maurine and her husband Joy Howell, sister Helen & Haward Newsome, brother Dean Sandy, and brother-in-law Wayne Esmay.

Left to mourn was his daughter and her husband, three step-grandchildren, sister, sister-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
