Allan James Laski
Allan James Laski, 43, of Haugen died Nov. 21 from a fatal gunshot wound received in Sawyer County.
Mr. Laski was born May 10, 1961 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. He graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1979 and then earned a degree in wood techniques from WWTC-Eau Claire. Mr. Laski married Pamela Peissig on Sept. 11, 1982. He managed various United Building Centers throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota for 21 years, including in Stanley; Lake City, Minn.; Detroit Lakes, Minn.; and Monroe. Mr. Laski was the current manager of the Rice Lake UBC Store. He was an avid outdoor sportsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching the Packers. Mr. Laski enjoyed many elk hunting trips out west with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Pam; two daughters, Aislinn Koenig of Eau Claire and Gwendolyn, at home; a son, Adam, at home; his parents, Jim and Stella Laski of Owen; and a sister, Linda Levan of Stoddard.
Visitation was Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and Saturday at the church for 1 hour before the service.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Haugen, with the Rev. David Oberts officiating and burial at the church cemetery.
