Anna's father Isaac Delano was born in Vermont in 1802 and later moved to Galesburg Illinois where he was a prominent citizen; Anna met her husband Abram Dixson at Knox college in Galesburg; they returned to Dakota county Minnesota to raise their girls (Alice born 1869, and Sara born 1872); when Abram died in 1874, Anna and the girls returned to Galesburg, Illinois to live with her parents; in 1879 both Anna and her mother Alice died; the young girls were sent to Dakota county Minnesota to live with their uncle George Dixson; Anna's father Isaac went to Washington D.C. to live with his son James Delano, and there he died in 1883; Isaac was returned to Galesburg for burial with his wife Alice (1804-1879), and his daughter Anna Dixson; Anna's brother James Delano is buried in Rock Creek cemetery in Washington D.C. (1832-1887).
