MRS. SARAH ANN BOND SUCCUMBS AT SAREPTA ON SATURDAY, APRIL 11

Mrs. Sarah Ann Bond, age 76, widow of the lamented Nelson Bond, died at her home at Sarepta at 3:30 P.M., on Saturday, April 11th.

Mrs. Bond was a Christian woman- a member of the Baptist church and a loyal worker in Christian activities. She was a woman of fine character and had lived usefully and to the benefit of mankind.

Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30, from the Sarepta Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Cooper Hartley, assisted by Rev. E.A. Bailey, followed by interment in the Sarepta cemetery. Pryor Funeral Home had charge of funeral arrangements. Pallbearers were Arthur Wilkins, O.D. Bond, T.S. Jenkins, Clint Bond, Ernest, Bond and John Henry Bond.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. S.A. Houpt, of Sarepta, and Mrs. Lewis Grist, of Bruce; by two brothers, Jim Barnes, Sarepta, and Rafe Barnes, Bruce; by two sisters, Mrs. Abbie Wilkins and Mrs. Kate Jenkins, Both of Bruce; by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
