Milton lived the greater part of his life in Seneca Township, in Lenawee County, Michigan. He was a partner with brother-in-law Henry Brower. They owned a grist, flour and saw mill in Weston, Michigan-- it was the largest saw mill in the county. After the great depression hit, the mill was sold. He retired at age 55.
