James R. Kreeger, 47, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012, as a result of an automobile accident.

Born on September 22, 1965, he was a son of James K. and Connie L. (Horn) Kreeger, Jr.

Jim graduated from Red Lion Area High School in 1983 and spent two years at Juniata College before entering the Army at Ft. Dix for Basic Training. He later went to Ft. Rucker, AL to become a warrant officer and pilot. Jim also attended Ft. Huachuca, AZ for Black Hawk Training. Mr. Kreeger was a Major in the Army Reserves after serving our country for over 20 years. He became a Huey, Blackhawk and Chinhook Helicopter pilot and was stationed in Sinai, Germany, Kosovo and St. Croix Virgin Islands. Mr. Kreeger received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at York College and worked for Wyeth Industries. He later worked as a realtor at Bernett Williams for several years. Jim was a member of the NRA and a life member of the American Motorcycle Association. He was a founder and member of the band Tramp Stamp. Jim enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar and saxophone. He was also a mountain bike enthusiast.

Along with his parents, James and Connie, James is survived by a brother, Douglas Kreeger and his wife, Rachelle of Hallam; two nephews, Wyatt and Reece; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Bethlehem Stonepile United Methodist Church, 250 Bethlehem Church Rd., Red Lion with Reverend Thomas R. Osenbach officiating. A viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Full military honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard, prior to the service.
