Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 26, 11 a.m. at the Hammond Free Will Baptist Church for Kathy Tackett, 54, of Whitehouse, Ky., who passed away Saturday, Feb. 23 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky. Mrs. Tackett was born July 15, 1953 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Hentison and Christine Pack Fraley. She had worked at Carl D. Perkins Vocational Training Center at Thelma, Ky., and she was a manager with Rice Food Service. She was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Tackett. Surviving are her husband, Wendell Tackett of Whitehouse; one son, Sam Tackett of Paintsville, Ky.; one daughter, Michelle Spencer of Whitehouse; four brothers, Johnnie and Grover Fraley, both of Georgia, Wallace Fraley of Van Lear, Ky., and Chris Fraley of Florida; three sisters, Connie Adams of Michigan, Jewell Wallace of Georgia and Nancy Fraley of Boons Camp, Ky.; and two grandchildren. The service was officiated by Isaac Rowland and Richard Salyer, with burial in the family cemetery at Whitehouse. Arrangements under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home of Paintsville.
