Dawna Kay Allen, 65, of Greenup, went to be with the Lord Wednesday at her home.
Mrs. Allen was born December 30, 1946, in Troy, OH., a daughter of the late Chester Andrew "Ted" and Juanita Whitten Abdon.
She was a member of Lloyd Nazarene Church and 5 Little Stitches quilting group in Greenup.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Teddy Shannon Abdon.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, William Paul Allen, three daughters, Melody Kay (Steve) Roessler of St. Louis, MO., Melissa Fay (Ronnie) Smith of Mount Sterling, and Paula Sue (Harry Craig) Hunt of Raceland, four grandchildren, Damon Cody Allen, Samuel Lewis Smith, Jenna Kay Roessler and Hayden Craig Hunt, and a nephew, TJ Abdon.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, by Pastor Kenneth Martin. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and an hour before the services Saturday at the funeral home.
