I was born and raised in San Leandro, CA. I retired as a San Jose Police Officer in 2009. I also served as a commander, US Navy Reserve, retiring in 2011. I served 3 x partial tours in Iraq. I was inspired to enter law enforcement by former San Leandro Chief of Police Ken Swanson. Chief Swanson had 2 x children: Keith Swanson and Jan Swanson. Keith was tragically killed in Vietnam in 1969. I have been looking for Keith's grave for several years to pay my respects, and trying to locate Janice, without success. (I joined Find a Grave to aid in that search.)
