Bio

I am the daughter of Johnnie Howard Halstead (son of Theodore Halstead and Lula Jane Mays)
and Geneva Pearl Hager (daughter of Burwell "Burley" Hager and Gertie Mae Dotson). My family comes from Boone and Lincoln Counties, West Virginia.

Directions to Hager Cemetery:

From Charleston, WV. Take I-64/119 less than 1 mile onto 119 South *aka* Oakwood Road. Stay on 119 South after Oakwood Road turns. After approximately 23 miles, turn right onto 3 West. Go approx. 5 miles and turn right onto Bulger Road (route 62). Go 7 miles and you’ll come to a dead end (and a stop sign), turn left onto Mud River Road. Go three miles then turn right onto River Oakes Road (46/5). Go up the gravel road, cross the creek, go approx. 1 mile and turn left on a switchback road. This is a pretty difficult turn, so be careful, there isn’t much room to maneuver. Once you get on this road heading back up the side of the mountain, at the forks, bear left and you will see the cemetery up on the hill to your right.

From Danville, WV. Take 119 South. Turn Right on Mud River Road. Go approx. 11 miles to River Oakes Road on your left. Go up the gravel road, cross the creek, go approx. 1 mile and turn left on a switchback road. This is a pretty difficult turn, so be careful, there isn’t much room to maneuver.
