I love walking through a good cemetery (even a bad one honestly) holding my wife's hand. We look at all the curious markers as well as the common ones - seeing if we can make any connections with the neighboring stones. For me, when someone talks about the Afterlife, to me, that's what we are doing here. We are continuing the memory and life of the person buried there by talking about them, imagining what they might have been like, and seeing how well others are caring for them too.
