Bio

Hi, My name is Ricardo Cantu Jr., I am from Encino, Texas a small town south of Falfurrias. My father was born there, too as well as numerous uncles and aunts. This town is so small that you probably can count the number of houses. As I remember it, when St. Ann's catholic church was built there, my mother donated the first statue of the Virgen de Guadalupe. I was dressed as Juan Diego, there was a procession from our house to the church. There was live music and a group of other people. From there we lived in Alamo, Raymondville, Rock Springs, Lubbock, and Corpus Christi. My mother travelled all over the state of Texas. I later enlisted in the Air Force and served 24 years.
I continued the travel, but this time to Germany, Thailand, Vietnam and several other states in the U. S. I lost my mother then my father, but whenever possible I visit their graves. My step-mother followed them, but without leaving happy memories of her. She was a sweet, caring lady all of her life.
My Mother: Felicitas Vecchio
My Father: Ricardo Cantu
My Step-Mother: Maria Romero Cantu
Thank you for visiting.
