When I was young (the late 50's) my grandfather began to write our family history. There were no computers back then so it was all done from family stories and word of mouth. Any time we went to visit, the first thing I HAD to do was pull out the "Blue Notebook" and reread it. Most of the stories I still have memorized. When Grandpa died I inherited the notebook and have spent the last 38 years carrying on his work. I hope that when I go to meet him again that one of my children will be interested enough to carry on my (OUR) work.
