I am the only son of two wonderful parents, Richard L. and Jo Ella Herron, both deceased. My father's early life was largely unhappy; his first wife became pregnant with another man's child while he was away serving our country onboard the USS Flint during WWII. He divorced her but she would go on to have three more children out of wedlock and make his life pretty miserable. He married my mom Jo Ella in 1946 and they were married till his death in 1985. While I'm still around, I'm pretty committed to making sure the world knows the truth about his first marriage. I enjoy geneology, history and work for a small software company in Dallas, Texas.
