Bio

I was thrilled to find this site to further my interest in genealogy . I really enjoy looking through a cemetery looking at the past, wondering who people were. I have had the pleasure to get some sites left in bad shape adopted by classes to clean up. I will walk OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS to find a grave if need be!!
I am attempting to find and photograph every grave of my direct lineage and post them with a tribute. I do this to honor my late mother, Helen, who loved her genealogy and pay homage to my Palatine/English/Dutch/Swiss roots.
I was able to travel to Concord, MA and find the grave of an 8th great grandparent!!
My lines go back to the Crusades with John de Peckham and his
several great grandson John Peckham, an Archbishop of Canterbury. In the 1630's and even before my several back great grandparents were arriving in America, New Haven Newport, Hull, Long Island,Salem- Burdick, Peckham, Skelton, Marsh, Westervelt, all me!!
I think all our DNA helps us form our courage, valor, compassion, willfulness and inner strength[or lack thereof].
Ancestry is a view to who you are, really deep down to "the bone".
All my information is to the best of my knowledge and what records I have had.
I am no longer involved in more research, due to debilitating illness so I am sorry if all your questions are not answered, please do not send corrections or inquiries .
