I started this project when my daughter was in high school. She had a project to complete a report about the country of her origin. I suggested that we purchase software to make a nice presentation. My life changed on that day in 1996. I became obcessed when each new addition to my family presented me with more questions than answers.
I have enjoyed making contacts with relatives that I would have never known without this research. I learned quickly that it was easier to get information from the dead than it was from the living!
My roots take me through Pa., and TEXAS. I am currently researching the following surnames: Parks, Altman, Steele, Lucas, VanGorder, Wilson, Priester, Seybert, Hoop, Fleming, Campbell, McAninch, Reynolds and probably a few more.
