Bio

I was born in Everett, Massachusetts in 1941. After retirement from both the Naval Reserves in 2001 and Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) in 2002, I decided to find out all I could about my ancestors. I spent one and one half years traveling all over the United States, Canada and Europe meeting relatives, researching my roots, co-chairing a family reunion and writing my first book for the reunion attendees. About a year before the family reunion, I traveled to my ancestral Shtetl in Jekabpils (Jacobstadt), Latvia accompanied by my cousin Mark. In October of 2007, I again traveled to my ancestral shtetl, this time accompanied by my wife Susan.
I decided to write a second book for beginning genealogists, titled "Beginning Genealogy Online Workbook." My workbook shows how I completed 99% of my genealogy research in 202 pages and 11 activities. The reason I state 99% is because one is never finished researching their family!
Interested genealogists can send me an e-mail to find out more about my workbook.
