Find a Grave ID

Bio

I am the human pet of a cuddly cat named Dexter, African-American, a wife, mom of three, sister, cousin and self taught family research enigmatologist.

My family has strong ties to Missouri and I love learning more about my family through genealogy. I love cemeteries because they are a rich source of information especially for African-American researchers. I am a member and volunteer researcher for the Greenwood Cemetery Discussion Group on Facebook. I am passionate about the preservation of African-American cemeteries. My family has deep roots in Missouri, Tennessee and Mississippi.

Find-A-Grave Community - I appreciate the kindness that I have received from members. There are many people who put a lot into entering memorials so that genealogy researchers can find ancestors and family they are seeking. I appreciate you and all of your hard work.

THANK YOU!

Transfers - Most of my memorials are created by me for my family members that I knew or have grown up hearing stories about and found through research. Most of the memorials I manage I created however some were graciously transferred to my care.

Some of the memorials I created are for people I found while researching my family. They had no memorials and I created them because I felt that someone might be looking for them one day. These include memorials for infants from the Potters Field in St Louis when I was searching for a Great Aunt who's burial location was unknown to our family and others are the people from my Greenwood Cemetery research who appeared to have been buried without known family.

If I manage your family member's memorial please message me and I will transfer in our out of guidelines. I find joy in knowing the memorials that I cared for temporarily are in family hands especially the infants. Just send me a request for the individual and include your Find-A-Grave volunteer ID number.
