I am the 6th generation decendent of
1st. Peter Vincent & ????
2nd. Jacob & Jane Vincent---->
3rd. Berry Smith Vincent & Cynthia Ann Paralee Lawrence Vincent------>
4th. John Henderson Vincent & Minnie D. Lawrence
5th. Jack P. Vincent & Lora Elizabeth Vincent
6th. C. Bynum Vincent.

I have always been interested in family history & genealogy for a number of reasons. The primary reason is that my parents were people persons and knew a ton of family members, some of whom I know & some of whom I never knew. They were very connected to family and always placed a big emphasis on this.

I never knew how some of us were all connected but always had my parents there to connect all the dots. My parents passed away 2006-2007 and are no longer there to connect all those dots, so I decided I had better take more interest in this or I'd never be able to do it much less my kids be able to do it. So, here we are....

I stumbled on to the website, findagrave.com, by searching for info on Stevie Ray Vaughn, who was a great guitarist from Dallas who died tragically in a helicopter accident while on tour. I found others such as Tom Landry and othe famous people.

I then found some of my relatives and decided to add more. It's a good way to honor relatives.

I have traveled to those cemeteries where these people are buried, most of whom I either knew or met. Others, I have not. Obviously, the ones who died before I was born which I have listed, I never met. But, after all of my brothers and sister going through mom and dad's "stuff", we dug out pictures they had that I have scanned some of which utilized for the site.

My intention is to honor these people that were related to me, even if I did not know them.
