I became interested in Find A Grave after I found a listing for my maternal great great grandmother here. Sophia Tuckett Fisher Window Filley, born 1838 in Plymouth England and died in Burlingame, Kansas, USA in 1918. She raised my orphaned grandmother and her three siblings and I heard many stories about her.

I was able to leave flowers on her virtual grave and contribute a photo to her memorial here. I'm an only child and love the sense of family this small act gave me.

Since then I've found other relatives from both my mother's and father's families, and hope to find more.
