Bio

I've been doing geneology on my family since the spring of 2005. I wasn't interested in geneology at the time, but my mother heard about ancestry.com and offered to pay the membership fees if I would just, pah-lease!, do some research on our family for her. I started out reluctantly but, being a person who loves a good challenge and has always enjoyed solving puzzles, it was inevitable that the more I delved into our family history the more hooked I became. It is now my favorite and most time-consuming hobby (and I have quite a few hobbies).

After only two years, I have over 1300 names in my family database, with many of the dates and locations verified via multiple data sources.

Our family names begin with Newholt/Neuhold, Konecny, Mannebach, and Miller, and branch out from there. We come from France, Germany, Austria and Hungary. The Millers originally settled in Indiana, Ohio and Virginia circa 1821, and the rest originally immigrated to Kansas in the late 1800's.
