Bio

Retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major E-9, Adjutant General Corps, with 20 years of continious active federal service (1972-1992), retired at age 49, lived in the Philippines Aug 2002-Jan 2021. Currently living in Madison, Alabama.

When I was a child I lived on Folly Beach near Charleston and later Cross, SC on Lake Moultrie and had the great opportunity to work for/stay with/learn from Tiny Lund and crew. I played with Cale Yarborough's son, meet Cale and Ralph Moody, and flew once in Ralph Moody's [head of Ford Motor Racing] private plane over Moncks Corner, South Carolina. When I was 13 I moved back to Trenton, Florida.

My maternal roots [FL] are Sanders, Mason, Hunt, and Rowe. My paternal roots [KY-IN] are Clemons, Highlander, Hamilton, and Browning. However, my 67 marker Y-DNA and autosomal test (male and female) matched to a living half-brother, prove my biological father was a Babb of South Carolina.

The well-documented Maj. John Mason line arrived in Dorchester, MA about 1632 and by 1635 was in Connecticut. From this line there is Rev War Soldier Elnathan Mason and a proven link to William Brewster of the Mayflower.

I work family history almost everyday and Findagrave is always an open tab on my web browser.
