I've been doing genealogy several years now.I find its something I can do alone if I want since I'm very shy and am not comfortable around alot of people.
I have been visiting my own family's graves every Memorial Day weekend for years while other people are having parties and cookouts.I like to pay my respects for the people who are no longer here.I sometimes walk through the cemetaries and look at all the graves,especially the ones where a young person has died.I have noticed that there's alot of graves that aren't visited as there is nothing on them.I wish I could put a flower on everyone's grave.I enjoy the solitude of being in a cemetary while my husband worries about wild animals.I made it a family tradition for my brother and I to visit the gravesites.I always visit on Memorial Day weekends and any other time I can find time.I hope when its my time,someone will visit me and drop a flower or two.
