I have always been interested in my family heritage & soaked up all I could learn as a child at home, but branches on the tree split off & lost touch. It was quite a tedious task looking for "splinters" until I found Ancestry.com. It is still a challenge, but has opened many doors as well. I am passionate about genealogy and dedicated or obsessed my friends say, about finding any tidbit that keeps me searching. When I first began I could not spend nearly enough time researching with family, home & full time career. I am retired now & with the passing of time, I have lost most of my family members, cannot travel as much as I once did & have difficulty with being on a computer much. So that means I am now the matriarch of the family that has had to get creative in order to travel & visit family in the many cemeteries in which they reside. I have managed pretty well but, I do have pain & difficulty sleeping so that's when I do most of my research. (With the help of ben-gay, a heating pad, a few different braces & prescriptions) LOL. I will be researching my families until God calls me home as well. I thank all my Find A Grave & Ancestry.com friends & relatives that love to research & take photo's at the cemeteries, it's a big help. I love the older photo's people have put online so that people like me can put a face with a name. God bless you all.
