Bio

Genealogy researcher since 1995. Physically located on the west coast of the United States. Thanks to a long history of restless antecedents from around the globe, my primary research method has been based on the internet since its infancy.

One project has been tracking down fellow soldiers and posting their photos from my dad's Army album which I received after his death. His Unit was the Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 38th Ordnance Battalion from Fort Lewis, WA - 1951-1952.
Please visit my virtual cemetery for the Battalion to honor these Vets.
https://www.findagrave.com/virtual-cemetery/1573523

I also have a public Ancestry tree for this unit:
https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/tree/169113259/recent?usePUBJs=true
It has further photos and details of their lives from all over the USA.

[From the Find A Grave FAQ's: "The copyright of all photos posted to Find A Grave remains with the original submitter. No use of photos for any other website or personal use is given without prior consent of the original submitter."]
*** I give permission for the personal use of these photos, provided source credit is given to my father, Richard Hall (mem #145479879) who created, compiled, and kept this photo album for nearly 60 years. **

Due to physical limitations, I'm unable to visit cemeteries to clean up headstones, so I'm researching 'orphan' individuals on Find A Grave, to connect families geographically separated from one another via research & documentation.

Since the months of Covid Quarantine lockdown, I've experienced the luxury of available time to set up/ maintain the memorials of family members and those associated with them on Find A Grave. I am interested in Kith & Kin. I strongly believe that it is the little details that made up who they were which matter the most in memorials. They were individually more than their minimal vital records of Birth, Marriage, & deaths.

On the memorials I manage, I will attempt to relate some of the personal stories told to me by my loved ones so that they won't be forgotten, lost in dusty papers, or locked behind a paywall of a private website.

If you have experiences with them, feel free to relate them on "Flower" memorial posts or even send me a message/ suggested edit. I don't mind death certificates, obituaries (if you can find them), or accurate life details posted as long as they do not identify living people.

Be welcome . Peace to you all.
