I was born on 24 Jun 1949 in New York, New York. My father was Paul James MacKinnon, Sr. (b. 17 Dec 1908, d. 21 Jul 1997) and my mother is Lois Love Howard MacKinnon (b. 6 Feb 1923). I have worked on my genealogy for about 20 years, but, now that I have retired, I will spend more time on it.

I have been many things in my life: waiter, college professor, educational analyst, real estate appraiser, credit repair specialist, personal historian, etc. Of all that I have done, the most rewarding has been spending time with my children.

I feel a strong obligation to pass along the family information I have been given, as well as what I have acquired, to succeeding generations. I want those who follow me to know more than names, dates, events. I want them to know the individuals behind it all.
