Bio

I am the daughter of a 1st generation Italian-American WWII veteran; Gerald Anthony John Fino, who served in the United States Army as a Tec 5 and was stationed in Luzon; Subic Bay, Philippines; circa 1943-1946 where he sired his only son. After the war, he came back home to The Bronx, working for over 20 years for T.B.T.A.
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTA_Bridges_and_Tunnels) on Randalls Island, NY. He married my mother Yolanda in 1950; a 2nd generation Sicilian-American, and together they had 5 daughters. Four survived past birth as Linda was called up right away. Out of the 4, they had twin girls 14 years after the youngest of their first 2 daughters (me being one of them)! "Pappy" retired to Florida in October of 1988 with my mother, where just 8 months later and a few months shy of being married 40 years, he was too soon taken to Heaven. I am humbled and honored to be part of this project. God bless the people at Find A Grave and God Bless and keep ALL of our veterans here and in heaven!!!
