Bio

In early years there were two sets of Childers in the York/Union areas. Jacob Childers in the York area in the 1760s and Soloman Childers in the Union area in the 1820s. As far as can be determined, they were not related. I have researched the Childers and their related lines for over thirty years and am interested in anyone who can trace their family back to Jacob Childers (born in Virginia 1762/1844 died in York County, South Carolina). I currently have over 6000 blood decendants of Jacobs' family listed in his family tree. I am also very interested in any family member photos (past or present) and would appreciate any photos sent to me.
I also have some information on other Childers families in South and North Carolina who are not related to my clan.
