Bio

I am the youngest of three children, born to James H. Seamans and Catherine T. (Beaupre) Seamans of Lowell, MA. I was raised in Lowell until after my mothers death in November 1968 when my sister took custody of my brother and I and we moved to Indiana with her husband and son. I lived in Indianapolis from Winter of 1968 - Fall of 1971 then moved to Lafayette, IN. Graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School May 1975 while at Jeff. I met my future wife Monica J. (Johnson) Seamans. After graduation I enlisted into the US Navy and spent twenty years retiring July 1995. I married on June 30, 1979. On October 28, 1984 our 1st child was born Timothy J. Seamans and on July 21, 1987 our second child was born Ashley M. Seamans. I currently work for the City of Jacksonville. On July 27, 2004 our son Tim enlisted into the US Army and on August 18, 2005 he was killed in action in Samarra, Iraq. My wife, daughter and I have formed a foundation in honor and memory of Tim, but also to honor and remember all our fallen heroes of Florida (www.floridafallenheroes.org). My interest are movies, reading fiction and non-fiction, working on the computer, spennding time with family, bowling, football games (Jaguars & Gators), taking trips with our friends, and watching some favorite TV programs - CSI, Closure, Saving Grace, Law and Order (SUV & CI). I too find searching family history exciting and over the past several years have found out alot about our family history. When I was a young teenager I would visit the gravesite by our house and read all the writings on the headstones. I ask each and everyone you to always remember in your hearts and prayers the fallen and their families.
