Bio

Terence P. Strobaugh, Jr. was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on December xx, 19xx. He grew up in Lansdale, Pennsylvania and graduated from parochial high school in 19xx. As far back as grade school Terence showed an aptitude for natural science, winning science fairs and exhibiting his Butterfly collection. While in high school, Terence participated in sports including football, basketball, and track earning seven letters. He also was active in the theater, performing in “‘Lil Abner” and “George M.!”. Terence also was an elected school officer being a representative to the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. Academically Terence was in the honors and AP sections of Math, Science, English, History, and Religion his junior and senior year and received the Who’s Who Among American High School Students Award.
After high school, Terence enrolled at The Pennsylvania State University and pursued a major in Business Administration. An automobile accident in 19xx put his academic career on hold and while recovering he became interested in Psychology, eventually graduating with a B.A. in Psychology with a Business minor in 19xx. While in school during this time Terence worked full time as a bartender and was involved with peer counseling and also setting up musical sound equipment for coffee houses and sports events that were broadcast over the Penn State radio network. Terence also received his FCC license and was a DJ at the radio station.
After receiving his Psychology degree Terence worked in the mental health field as an inpatient counselor, a drug and alcohol counselor and also worked with abused children. Terence returned to Penn State and received his B.S. in Science in 19xx and began his employment at the USDA, ARS, Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC), Microbial Food Safety Research Unit (MFSRU) in June 19xx at the GS 4 grade. In 19xx, he was hired as a Biological Laboratory Science Technician at the GS 9 grade.
