My name is Monica Bove-Simms, and I live in Richmond, VA. I served 8 years in the US Army (1982 -1990) and I am currently a student in college for my degree in nursing. I am married to John Robert Simms, who is an architect. I have a son from a previous marriage (Andrew Peters) and he is 13 years old.
I have never met any of my relatives (other than my immediate family), and I have been searching for them in hopes of kindling family roots.
All I had of my grandfather's memory is the book he wrote "My Life as a Paris Surgeon" and was amazed when I stumbled upon this site and found his grave (further proof that he really did exist). I am very appreciative of the people who made this site possible for seekers such as myself.
