I am searching the Pile/Pyle/Piles/Pyles geneaology. My family is from the northern panhandle of WV - Tyler, Wetzel, and Marshall counties. The four primary lines I am searching are Pyles, McDowell, Calvert and Johnson. I have found relatives/ancestors in Missouri, Indiana, Idaho, Illinois, Texas, Pennsylvania and Virginia. The search continues for the links back to Europe. I have several lines back to the mid 1700's and one line back to the 1690's originating from Delaware and the Philadelphia area. Within the past year I have begun reading cemeteries, some that have never been read, and others to double check information. As I move forward on this I will begin to add to find a grave. In the meantime, I look forward to hearing from any others searching the same lines. For those whose ancestors were in Monongalia County, VA/WV I highly recommend "The Chronicles of Core", by Earl L.
