Bio

I'm Joie Becker, Jeremiah Johnston's big sister. He was brutally murdered on July 18th, 2009. This was just after his 28th Birthday. He fought drugs and alcahol for most of his teenage and adult life. As family members, it's not easy to deal with loved one's that have these problems. It's very frustrating to try to help your loved one, which so often is in vein. Sometimes you see such progress and feel like, "Thank God, he's back". Other times, you realize, he's messed up again. My mother and I worried often that we would get a call, or a police officer at the door telling us the worst....Jeremiah is dead, something to do with drugs has caused his death. This nightmare just came true. He was introduced to a phyco meth head that he was in a very bad situation with shortly after meeting this man, and was killed along with two other people. He knew too much about the first murder, and the murderer said, "he had to go". This is not the first tragedy in our family due to drugs and alcohol related deaths. My biological father was killed at a party when I was 4 years old. My cousin lost a son just over a year ago, he was 18 years old. He was also wrapped up with drugs and alcohol that caused circumstances to his death. My family and I have had enough of these tragedies. We are trying desperately to become involved with local police and the local school district to tell our story. If my mother and I can discourage even one person not to start down this distructive life style, my brother will not have died in vein. Any child that hears this story and decides that there's no way they will ever try any form of drugs, will help heal my broken heart over my brother's bad choices that lead to his doom we were afraid of. Anyone reading this, that has problems with
