Bio

I grew up in York County, PA, and graduated from Dallastown Area High School in 1959. My husband Keith and I lived in Upstate New York for 22 years, in the foothills of the Adirondacks, where I enjoyed writing human interest stories for a weekly community newspaper and also wrote a weekly column. Following retirement, we returned to York County in 2012, to be closer to family, settling in the Dillsburg area. I love digging for ancestors and am currently researching Routson, Lehr, LaMotte, and Klinedinst families on my husband's side. I have researched my father's ancestry, and published a book in 2008 on the George Druck family. I recently printed the history of my mother's ancestors, the Bentz and Dentler families of York County, Pennsylvania. Genealogy can certainly be addicting, as my husband can attest! I love this site. Thanks to the diligent folk who have posted photos and information, it is a very helpful tool when searching for dead relatives. I also love to share, so feel free to use any information or photos I've posted. Giving credit would be appreciated. As someone once told me, "There is no I in genealogy." Although I have not been able to add a lot of information, I plan to keep searching as long as I am able.
