I have visited and photographed many family graves over the past 30 years as part of my ongoing genealogical research. Some of the cemeteries that I have pictures of are Mount Auburn Illinois Cemetery; Grove City Cemetery; Stafford Cemetery; Hunter Cemetery; Oak Hill in Taylorville; Rochester Cemetery; Glenarm Cemetery in Ireland; Cedar Park Cemetery; Forest Home Cemetery; Mount Hope Cemetery; Chapel Hill Gardens; West Salem Trinity United Medthodist Church Cemetery and others.
Most recently, a distant cousin informed me that she also was photographing many of the same stones and posting them on this site. I am thrilled to combine efforts with Linda McCall! I hope to be able to add more of my photos soon.
I have also taken GPS readings for many of the sites.
I think that this is important work and that we need to preserve the memories for future generations.
