I am the Ggrandson of George Wesley Wilbanks and Martha Ann Gilliland. Their daughter Mattie B. married my grandfather Robert Samuel Harris who was the son of S.P. (Samuel Pickens) Harris and Eliza Thornell. When SP died (1888), Eliza married John M Haynie who had been married to SP's sister Susan Elizabeth Harris and who also died (1889). He had 3 children, she had 4 and they had 3 or 4 (?). Samuel Pickens and Susan Elizabeth Harris were the children of Rev. Allen Bailey and Winnie (Winie) Gordon Harris. Thanks to a cousin, I have a lot of info she was kind enough to share with me. Totally by chance, my daughter settled in Alex City and I try to spend as much time here as possible. Would love to connect to Harris relatives.
