I recently started researching my family history for a couple of reasons. I want my own children to know where they came from and I want to be able to provide as much information to them as possible. I just wish I had asked my dad the questions he could have answered for me before he died. By doing my research, I had hoped to re-connect with as many relatives as possible that I have not seen in years. My father was Claude Williamson and my mother was Mildred Turner. They followed my Uncle Edwin Turner and Aunt Bernice to California when I was only 5 1/2 yrs old. My Uncle, Aunt and mother all died within 4yrs of moving here and my father was murdered in 1996. When he was beaten, his little address book with my only remaining family contacts was stolen and never recovered. My paternal grandparents were Charlie Williamson and Florence Harris. They had 8 children ( Lillie, Clyde, Claude, James, Marie, Mary Bell, Hazel and Charlsie) My maternal grandparents were Horace Turner and Kizzie Gibson) They had 4 children (Estella, Edwin, Homer and Mildred) My grandmother married a 2nd time, to a "Myers" and had a child in 1929, my Aunt Elsie.
