My name is Michael Chance. I am originally from Oceanside, CA and now reside in Las Vegas, NV. I have been a family historian off and on for several years and really have a passion for it.

I've been a member here at Find A Grave for over 2 years, but for the most part I must admit that have been primarily a 'taker' of info and not much of a 'giver'. But, that's about to change :)...........

My family lines are Primarily "Chance, Aldridge, Hoskins & Blakely"

I have recently received a lot of family photos and genealogical items (from the Blakely side of my maternal family line) and am currently in the process of sorting through it all and will begin scanning and posting photos in relation to their prospective memorials as I match them up.

Family names and histories that I have within these recently received items are primarily from the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Pennsylvania and cover a portion of the Blakely-Kinnard-Thomas-Fussell-Franklin-Moore-Dunwoody-Bond-Rogers-Collins-Lewis-Hannum families and several others also.

If you too are descendants of these names from these states I will have quite a bit of info to share with you. As this particular side of my family (the Blakely line from the Fall Creek/Pendleton, Indiana Region) have been keeping amazing family histories, photos, newspaper clippings, obituaries, etc covering multiple generations and hopefully some of this documentation will be helpful to others of you in my extended family.

Please Note: I have also just signed up to be a photo volunteer for this area (Las Vegas, Boulder City, Laughlin, etc). I became interested in this as a few people have filled my photo requests over the past couple of years and I am forever grateful for that. So how can I try and repay the community for that? By doing it for others, that's how!

I will try posting as many photo requests as I can possible obtain for all of you. There looks to be other members in my area that are also photo volunteers, so with such coverage in this area we should be able to hopefully get most of the requests accomplished!
