I was born in Joplin,MO and have lived here all my life. I got started on family history a few months before my 11th birthday. We were talking about our grandparents at school, and several of my classmates had gr-grandparents. The only grandparent I had at that time was my maternal grandmother. I began wondering what happened to the rest of them. I could vaguely remember my grandpas but my other grandma died before my parents met. Also at this time, I found out that my paternal grandpa had a step-mother who was still living. I was estatic! I had a gr-grandmother. I wrote her alot and got to meet her before she died. Family history is an addiction you can't break. I wouldn't want to anyway. Hah! Hah!
