Bio

I just started researching family background in March 2010. So fun and frustrating and challenging. I am researching ancestors in Lincoln/Franklin/Copiah Counties of Mississippi -- Smith ("Nathan Smith Settlement" Smiths), Wilson, Wiltshire. Currently most stuck on trying to find any any info on Andrew Jackson Stephens, 1833-1863, died of illness after the battle Corinth, husband of Elizabeth Penelope Holland. Who were his parents/siblings?? And, like several others, I am searching for parentage and date/place of death for William Holloway Barker.

You are welcome to use any tombstone or personal photos that I have affixed -- as long as it is for strictly personal genealogical purposes (adding to Ancestry.com or Family Tree Maker family trees, for example). I am happy to transfer management of most memorials I have added, unless they are direct ancestors. Please let me know if you find an error that needs correction.

Find-a-Grave is great, and I appreciate that members have been kind enough to post photos of my ancestors and their tombstones. I hope to be able to return the favor by posting tombstone photos from the Lexington, KY area (where I currently live) and Southern and Central Mississippi (when I am able to get down there). I apologize for my sometimes less-than-stellar photographic skills.
