Bio

My husband CJ and I live in the Bellview area near the Mitchell Cemetery. We have long wanted to compile as near a complete and accurate history of those buried there as we could before the information was lost forever. Land for this cemetery was donated to the community by the family of John Hubbard Mitchell in 1906 when the Holland baby died. Oscar Fryar, whose family were early day settlers could remember many burials in the past and made markers for those sites. The family of Mazie Mitchell Burnett(Mrs. Tom) as well as Glen Pulliam another long time resident maintained maps with grave sites they could remember. Area history books, families, long time area residents, and on line records have helped us to compile this information. If anyone has any corrections or additions to the information listed here or has any questions please feel free to contact me. My goal is not to amass large numbers of memorials but to help you find your loved ones. If you would like for me to transfer maintenance of a memorial of your family member to you, please contact me and I will be glad to do so. CJ and I are always seeking new information about our families, the Blackburns, Bunch's, Cagles, and Grahams, who migrated to this northern Curry Co. area and the Clovis area in the early 1900's.
