I am so happy to create and manage findagrave.com memorials with the wish that someone might find their ancestors, the way others have helped me to find mine.
Please send requests for additions, corrections, linking and transfers using the "Edit" tab in the upper right-hand corner of the memorial.
It is very important to me that the information on the memorials I manage is accurate. All requested edit information needs to be substantiated by an official source in order for the memorial to be changed. You can do this by sending an accessible link to the official source using the "Suggest Any Other Correction or Addition" link. If your official source information does not have an accessible link, you may send a copy of the information (along with the name of the document or book, the author's name, date of publication, and page number/s) to me at email address: [email protected]. Please note that "ancestry.com" is not considered a substantiating source, but copies of actual official documents from the site are.
I don't link unknown graves because of the findagrave.com policy which states: "Find a Grave's purpose is to catalog and make available final disposition information. If burial information is unknown for an individual, Findagrave.com is probably not the right place for their information."
I hope that if you do find family members that you will ask me to transfer them to you. Findagrave's transfer policy that states: "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations." Please tell me your exact relationship when making the request.
If I have inadvertently created a duplicate, please contact me using the "Suggest a Correction" feature.
You are free to use any photos of graves that I have posted on Findagrave.com for your personal use, public or private. If you want to use a photo of a person that I've posted, please contact me first.
I am happy to post information from an obituary that will enhance the memorial in the BIO section of a memorial.
Please do NOT leave biographical information and obituaries in a virtual flower. This is against findagrave.com policy. Per Find-A-Grave: "Do not leave derogatory, politically charged, biographical information, or obituaries as a note. . ."
Wishing you all the best as you research your family.
