Since retiring, I have become a passionate amateur genealogist, currently living in SE Indiana. Paternal side is 100% German with immigrants arriving in the mid 19th century. Maternal side is a burgoo-- English, Irish, Welsh, Scottish, German, French, Spanish, African, Cherokee . . . immigrants came to America starting with the first arrivals in Virginia and migrated throughout the southern states.

In addition to genealogy, I enjoy reading, particularly history and biographies, and travelling.
