I'm Jim Spain, born Troy, NY 1950. My mother was Dorothy Shepard Brundige Spain b. 1917. Her mother was Clara Francis Shepard Brundige b. 1895. Her father was Harry Edwin Shepard b. 1869 in East Arlington, brother to Arthur & Charlotte "Lottie" Shepard Mann (married John James Mann b. 1873). Lottie's daughter Marjorie Mann Canfield, Frances Mann King, and Agnes Mann Tracey all grew up in East Arlington. My great Aunt, Julia Helen Shepard Miller, b. 1897, kept a photo album, many with labels. I'm still trying to identify many of the people in East Arlington in the photos.
