I was intrigued by the fact that my mother was a double cousin; brother and a sister of two families married. Researching one of the lines took me to Wales. One line hit a brick wall, which hopefully one day I can break through. Then of course I was born into a family that immigrated here in 1635.
My family has had many defenders of our country: a Major General, Brigadier General, many Colonels, Lieutenants, privates and early militia; fighting to defend our country beginning with the French and Indian War, thru Revolutionary War and into the Civil War; both World Wars, Koren War, Vietnam and even an Astronaut raised by my grandmothers' sister.
We can also boast to have many defenders of the faith our country was founded on and is protected by the Constitution: Puritans; Presbyterians and Methodist. Along this path there were ordained Bishops, Ministers and Deacons.
We have also born into this family doctors and lawyers, and morticians.
