I love family history. Began collecting oral family history as a child, but didn't realize that was the purpose behind all my questions. I started properly recording family history in 1982, by purchasing official records and visiting county clerk's offices and courthouses, and spending countless hours at libraries, genealogical and historical society offices.

Since each of these entries turns up as a "source" on Ancestry dot com, it is extremely important that we do the best we can to memorialize our family with accurate information. I believe we owe it to them, to each other, and to future generations.

I also believe that we owe it to the deceased, and to their living descendants, to submit accurate mini biographies that are respectful and compassionate. Wish all contributors would T.H.I.N.K. before posting a biography. (T=is it true? H=is it helpful? I=is it inspiring? N=is it Necessary? K=is it Kind?) Necessary and Kind are two components that must be given precedence. Most of us have relatives with some tragic history, but is it necessary or kind to post those tragedies on the internet? If any reader finds a biography created by me that contains elements neither Necessary nor Kind, please let me know.

**Please contact me first before using any photos or documents I've posted so that we can ensure proper citation.**
