Bio

When my mom passed away, she was looking for my great-grandfather's grave Ira Aldrich, her grandfather, that was in 1986.

I kept it in my mind and than started about 2007 doing some genealogy Research, looked on "Find a Grave" but nothing came up...finally in 2010 I thought I will look once more, and lo and behold there it was!!!!!!!! Can you imagine how I felt, and also found the Great-Grandmother who was buried with him!!!! Sadly there were children in the graves also, and I did more research and found they were his children from his first marriage.

I found out so much more, During his grief he went into the Civil War, I walked the walk with him and feel I got so much out of it....It reminded me how precious every moment is and how when life gets tough , get tougher but with love.

It reminded me of what they had to go through in those days, the transportation and communication, Can you imagine how we are living all over the world now, but one touch of a button we can communicate?

There is more, He came from a large family and I plan to "pay it forward" for the gratitude I feel and what started out research to a wonderful journey.......I wish you the same....dottie
