Bio

I am an amateur, and highly addicted, genealogist who has been working on my family history research for about 12 years. My family tree branches almost exclusively from Poland (maternal) and Norway (paternal) . In the last couple of years, thanks to many new records available online, I have met with incredible good fortune in my research. Among my new favorite resources is this site. Much to my surprise, I have been able to quickly and easily obtain pictures of graves that I didn't know existed, and certainly never thought I'd see . The photos have given me some great clues to help further my research. I am very impressed with the effectiveness of this resource !
I find the process of wondering a cemetery and reading the grave markers fascinating, My imagination goes into high gear and I can't help but wonder what the lives of the individuals must have been like .
I am 40 years old, and live on Maryland's eastern shore with my husband of 10 years, and our 6 1/2 year old son. One hobby we enjoy is looking for sea glass and pottery on the local shorelines, and often find wonderful treasures. There is a great deal of interesting history in our area, and the beach combing and cemetery searching are two ways we try to tangibly experience it for ourselves. Our family histories are not personally connected to this area, but learning about the local history inspires me to keep going in my own.
I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to this site in the future (fulfilled my first request today !).
