Would love to learn more about both sides of my family, but my dad's side is currently giving me fits. Pretty sure our "real" surname is not Bowling, but Bullen or Bullin. However, I've hit a brick wall of sorts, trying to confirm my 3G grandfather. There's lots of family lore about who he may be, but I have no real evidence.

Both sides of my family are from Henry and Franklin County, Virginia and Stokes County, North Carolina.
