I started researching my family (Canfield) about 4 yrs ago and 2 years ago found Find a grave. This site has been very valuable in researching family members. I am so thankful for all the people who contribute Photos and bring stories and history of people together. My grandfather left me my great grandfathers Civil War diary and discharge papers which started me on my hunt.
I am retired now and able to keep up with maintaining more family gravesite memorials. I hope to leave my family and grandchildren a better understanding of who we are and those members that came before us. I want to help anyone else I can as many of the contributors have been very helpful to me.
